Key file recovery

Key file is a special file required to access WMID within the WM Keeper WinPro program. One of the available login methods requires it directly.

Once you lose the password to a key file (.kwm) or the file itself, it cannot be recovered!

If you have lost the correct key file or password, you can:

1. Create a backup if you still have access to WM Keeper WinPro.

2. Generate a new key file on the WM Security website. This method requires logging in to the site with confirmation (see instructions here).

3. If access to your WMID has been lost, complete the access recovery procedure. It can be initiated here.

After the recovery procedure is finished, your main control method will change to Keeper Standard. In order to get a new key file, you can connect Keeper WinPro on the WM Security website (see instructions here).
